Port Warehouses

Port Warehouses

Storing seafood since the 18th century.

Also known as the 'Rajoy's Stores,' they hold great historical and sentimental value. Built in 1763 by the Ricoy brothers, under the patronage of Archbishop Rajoy, for the production of 'salted sardines and other goods.' According to a written document dated May 16, 1769, the warehouses and their lease were tied to the support of two schools (also constructed under Rajoy's patronage) and the payment of teachers.
