Designed in the 19th century by the provincial architect Faustino Domínguez.

It was built between 1853 and 1856 in the port, designed by the architect Faustino Domínguez, the provincial architect of A Coruña, following classical canons. It has a rectangular floor plan, a central courtyard, and two floors. Currently, the offices of the Departments of Social Services, Culture, Linguistic Standardization, Justice of the Peace, and Civil Registry are located in this building.
